I read this in 7th grade and once again "many" years later. It was enjoyable when I was both young and older. The thought at the end that Earth occupants may be in the same situation as the Martians were in this book is something to contemplate. As the Sun cools our Earth will also cool making Venus more hospitipal. When I was younger I was more interested in the concept of war with an alien force. I find myself now more interested in the final thoughts at the end.
